A Michelin star for the Le Saint Hilaire restaurant!

March 2024

Less than a year after opening their new restaurant "Le Saint Hilaire", the gastronomic restaurant run by chef Sébastien Rath and his wife Gwladys has been awarded its first Star in the Michelin Guide 2024!

As part of an ultra-local approach, the chef offers refined cuisine based on sustainability and seasonality. The dishes feature fresh, local and organic produce, offering a memorable gastronomic experience that respects the environment.
Their commitment to eco-responsibility doesn't just stop at the plate: the plates are made by a potter from Alès, and even the team's jeans are made in Lozère!

A well-made product is a sustainable product.

Launch of the 1st restaurant - 2017
An iconic location in the city of Ales, Michelin-starred restaurant Le Riche had chosen DESIGNHEURE and its Nuage collection in 2017 to illuminate its dining room. A chandelier 15 Grand Nuage in custom made white lacquered and gold finishes had been installed in the heart of the room along with accompanying floor lamps.

New location - 2023
On the strength of his success, Chef Rath decided to move to a new emblematic location: the 'St Hilaire'. With a tenfold increase capacity in the heart of nature, still near Alès, the restaurant continues to maintain his brand identity associated with DESIGNHEURE.

Nothing is lost, everything is transformed.
The challenge was to dismantle the chandelier 15 Grand Nuage, which was designed for a high ceiling, and to divide it into several other chandeliers adapted to a lower ceiling and a huge space.
The quality of DESIGNHEURE's fixtures allows them to be reinstalled after 6 years in the first location and readapted to their new space. The brand's team of architects also proposed a complement of lighting fixtures to punctuate the immensity of the room and provide a masterful view from outside.

The economic, sustainable and ethical approach has allowed :

  • The preservation of the luminaries thanks to the quality and the follow-up of the collections
  • Completion of the order thanks to its team of architects specialized in the project
  • Reduction the restorer's invoice by 50%.

A win-win project that confirms that DESIGNHEURE is not only a supplier but also an agile partner, at the service of its customers and involved in its projects.
