Since its inception, Designheure has chosen to centralise its entire production within its workshop in Sète, in the south of France. This integrated approach brings together under one roof: its design studio, the engineering department, the assembly workshop and the logistics centre.

This unique proximity ensures total quality control and the production efficiency required to meet the deadlines of international projects. Each light fixture is made to order, allowing for rigorous checks at every stage of manufacture, from inspecting the lampshades to the final electrical test before dispatch.

Designheure stands out for its valuable and increasingly rare expertise: the art of contemporary textile lighting. Our expertise lies in the meticulous working of fabrics to create high-end, designer lighting solutions.

Far from automation, Designheure upholds the excellence of French craftsmanship. We prioritise the human touch at every stage: the precise sheathing, the meticulous pleating and the assembly of our bespoke lampshades onto their frames. This manual work guarantees unrivalled quality and attention to detail.

Our commitment is reflected in a rigorous selection of materials. We use high-end fabrics with optimal technical and aesthetic properties, as well as our famous coloured textile electrical cords, which have become a true hallmark of the brand. For our prestige collections, we also incorporate fine materials such as brass, genuine Carrara marble, and Limoges porcelain from Haviland.

These choices give our creations a ‘haute couture’ and luxurious finish, sought after for exceptional projects and the design of prestigious spaces.

Engineering and Compliance: Technology in the Service of Light

Beyond aesthetics, Designheure is a hub of technical innovation. Our in-house design office develops electrical solutions tailored to global requirements, ensuring compliance with international standards (CE, UL, etc.).

We design sustainable and repairable luminaires, in line with a responsible consumption approach. By integrating high-performance LED technologies and optimising visual comfort (glare control, luminous flux), we provide architects and lighting designers with reliable tools. Our ability to technically modify our products to adapt them to specific lighting management systems (DALI, 1-10V, etc.) demonstrates our expertise as a specialist manufacturer.
