On March 28th, Bénédicte Collod, director and co-founder of DESIGNHEURE, accompanied by Jette Scheib, designer of several lighting fixtures for the brand, participated in the Women in Design Summit, an all-female event on the theme of the design industry, organized by Lumens.

Lumens.com, an online store for interior design and lighting, offers products from more than 350 different international and world-renowned brands, including DESIGNHEURE. In addition to sales, Lumens.com also offers useful tips, articles and exclusive interviews with professionals in order to provide an optimal shopping experience to their customers.

In this desire to highlight the world of design and lighting, Lumens.com has created the Women in Design Summit. This event aims to celebrate women innovators and trendsetters in the design industry, a world still largely dominated by men.

For the occasion, 2 round tables were animated by inspiring women: designers, executives and curators, all evolving in the design industry. Discussions focused on the creative process in this sector, the realization of unique projects, new design trends and the place of women in this industry.

The first discussion, moderated by Vice President Patricia Kittredge, in charge of growth and innovation at Lumens.com, included designers Patricia Urquiola (Studio Urquiola), Thabisa Mjo (MASH.T Design Studio), Rosie Li (Rosie Li Studio), Lucie Koldova, Constance Guisset (Constance Guisset Studio), Jette Scheib and Emiliana Martinelli (Martinelli Luce). Each of them discussed their motivation towards becoming designers, to create ever more innovative and unique products and their experiences in the sector.

The second discussion welcomed talented female directors and curators to exchange on the challenges of creation in the design industry associated with the development of their business. Bénédicte Collod (DESIGNHEURE), Roberta Silva (Flos), Carlotta de Bevilacqua (Artemide), Joana Bover (Maison Bover) and Amelie Du Passage (Petite Friture) shared their views on their place in the design industry, their path to creating their company and their vision on the future of the lighting industry.

A moment rich in sharing experiences with inspiring and talented women!
