Restaurant Le Cheval Blanc

A historic institution in Montmorency, the restaurant Le Cheval Blanc has undergone a complete refurbishment orchestrated by Gauvrit Architecte, striking a balance between modernising the spaces, addressing technical constraints and preserving the character of the venue.

The restaurant’s interior exudes a warm, contemporary feel without detracting from its heritage. The deep blue wood panelling, natural materials, softly shaped mirrors and textured wallpaper all contribute to this elegant atmosphere. Every detail enhances the guests’ experience and the venue’s new ambience.

Lighting plays a key role thanks to the Solo and Duo Jazzline wall lights. Their sleek white fabric shades, combined with brass-finished arms and brackets, cast a soft light that highlights the materials and architectural rhythms. The Jazzline luminaires add a timeless touch that bridges the gap between the building’s heritage and its new, more modern interior design. This project illustrates the role of decorative lighting in a restaurant refurbishment: revealing a restaurant’s identity without compromising its spirit.
