Les Terrasses de la Sarre

Within the main atrium of this commercial centre, DESIGNHEURE was commissioned by INTEGRAL to create 21 custom made Mobula suspensions that are installed at different heights.

As visitors move around the different floors and travel down the escalators, they can experience a sculptural installation, reflecting notions of flocking birds in a modern graphic design.
The suspensions descend 10 metre heights in a variety of finishes. The lampshade exteriors are dressed in gold, silver and copper tones that are then illuminated with integrated LED light sources.

The dynamic form of the lampshades emphasise the composition and movement within the space. DESIGNHEURE 's architectural team worked with INTEGRAL to look at how the suspensions could be suspended below the glass skylight, both companies challenging the ways in which their creations can be installed in the most magnificent of spaces.
