Meeting with the designer Christian Ghion

Education:
Former lawyer, he turned to the history of art at the Ecole du Louvre, after having discovered the wealth during an internship in an auctioneer. It integrates thereafter the Charenton School of Architecture, ECM (Study and Creation furniture).

The essence of Collegiality:
The Christian Ghion route is marked by meetings and regular collaborations. His path has crossed subsequently other masters of design: Patrick Nadeau with whom he created his own agency in 1987, Andrée Putman in 1994, the designer Teruo Kurosaki met during her semester in Tokyo in 1995 and who decides to sell his furniture, and Philippe Starck in 1997.

Industrial design, interior design, space design:
Space and interior designer too, his heart goes naturally to object design that does not require to decrypt space. He said "This requires that the object has a force, a sufficient presence to transcend function".

Awarded in 1990 by the Grand Prize of creation of the city of Paris for his work in several emblematic places of the capital, he still works regularly with major Parisian stores like Chantal Thomass and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. He is also requested abroad for major projects such as the Gugghenheim Museum in New York or for restaurant Pierre Gagnaire in Tokyo and Dubai.

The virtuoso fashioned the material to all its boldness: objects, furniture, vases, jewelry and accessories for prestigious brands like Cinna, Daum, Fred, Christian Dior and Laguiole in France, or Cappellini, Driade, Nespresso, Sawaya & Moroni and Salviati internationally.
