Bank branch

Créteil - France

As part of the refurbishment of a bank branch, lighting designer Jeux de Lumière has devised a spectacular lighting scheme for the reception hall, centred around a three-quarter-turn staircase with contemporary lines. Acting as the very backbone of the project, this double-height space becomes a striking architectural feature, where light and metalwork interact in an elegant and airy composition.

At the centre of the stairwell, a bespoke chandelier 18 Twiggy naturally complements the staircase’s form. A detailed study of the suspension lengths was carried out to vary the heights of the lampshades, creating a spiral effect that follows the curve of the staircase. The lampshades, made from a woven fabric with a Japanese paper-effect finish and set against a matt black frame, extend the graphic design of the ironwork and reinforce the sense of verticality.

Two wall lights Années Folles, installed between the glazed sections, complete this lighting composition. They ensure aesthetic continuity whilst providing accent lighting that enhances the circulation areas.
